NBA: 2020/21 season is at risk of delays because 48 NBA players are considered to be COVID-19 positive

Up to 48/546 players obtained positive results for the Covid-19 virus after required monitoring by the NBA.

According to the latest statement by the NBA Executive Board and the NBPA Players Federation. After required testing for players, squad leaders and staff. Up to 48 players have tested positive for the COVID-19 virus. The experiments alluded to above shall be carried out from 24-30/11, at the headquarters of the teams. 

Players that receive good outcomes will be obliged to quarantine in private quarters. This would undoubtedly have a certain effect on the planning for the new season.

According to some reports, the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) will decrease the quarantine advisory to 7 to 10 days from the moment the contaminated players provide negative results. This advice from the CDC will partially help players to train again quickly to prepare for the new season that will open on 22 December.
